Sustainable Jersey
Sustainable Jersey for Schools is a certification program for New Jersey public schools that want to go green, conserve resources and take steps to create a brighter future.

Schools participating in Sustainable Jersey for Schools can complete actions to achieve points towards two levels of certification: Bronze and Silver. Actions include:

*Energy Efficiency For School Facilities
*Green Building Policy
*Green Purchasing Policy
*Indoor Air Quality Review
*Professional Development for Sustainability
*Community Education & Outreach
*Student Learning (Priority Category)
*School Wellness Council
*Waste Audit

School #4 is a Bronze certified member of Sustainable Jersey for Schools.Through the efforts of the "Green Team", faculty, staff and students, School #4 is working towards Silver Certification.

  • School #4 awarded grants from Sustainable Jersey and PSE&G Foundation

    Winslow Township School #4 would like to thank Sustainable Jersey and the PSE&G Foundation for Grant money totaling 2000 dollars. The funds we received have allowed us to begin the first phase of a Fitness Trail for our students, staff and community. We were able to create signs that will mark our trail route and provide fitness stations along the way. In addition, pedometers were purchased that will help to motivate and challenge our students to take responsibility for their own health.
    Our goal has always been to develop a strong foundation and appreciation for physical activity, this Fitness Trail will provide an organized, safe and sustainable activity that will help us reach that Wellness goal. ​​​​​​​We are grateful to Sustainable Jersey and the PSE&G Foundation for this Grant and the many opportunities it has created.
